Random acts of violence

These past two days on the train to work I have experienced two things that make me understand why there are random acts of violence.
Firstly yesterday morning, a woman who sat next to me on the train with a mammoth rucksack like she was going travelling on the underground decided to barge my hand. Yes that’s right. Barge. My. Hand. Now if this was my left hand perhaps I wouldn’t have minded as much, but it was my right hand. What’s the difference? I hear you ask. The nails on my right hand are longer than those on my left, so this could have been a tragic incident something was gonna break and I’ll be damned if it’s my nail. So it’s got to be……my calmness. Not only did this heffa not apologise she seemed to have not acknowledged the incident and proceeded to get off the train. How rude. Luckily I stayed clam cos my nail never broke. If it did however there woulda been madness on the train.

So this morning, a gentleman sat opposite me who I see on my daily commute to work started coughing. As I was facing down I didn’t notice anything i.e. phlegm. But I began to notice a breeze of air hitting my hand. I looked up and he carried on coughing WITHOUT COVERING HIS FILTHY INFECTED MOUTH. I was livid. So I covered my mouth with my coat, hoping he would get the hint without me having to resort to badding him up on the train. Nope, dumbo didn’t get the memo. So I took out my mini hand sanitiser courtesy of CVS sprayed it on my hands and into the air. He got the memo. However the woman next to me had the audacity to cough like I was choking her. Listen love it’s either his SARS infected germs on the train or my clean hand sanitizer sanitising the air. Some people eh, don’t know what’s good for ‘em.

So this brings me to my first sentence, random acts of violence. I sometimes think I have deep rooted anger management issues. I mean to everyone else these may be trivial incidents. But my nails are important, I didn’t pay for them and they are real and long so maybe you can understand that? As for my OCD when it comes to coughing in confined space. Cover. Your. Mouth. Me and you are not friends even if we were I don’t want your germs in my breathing space. It’s rude and unhygienic. Don’t do it. Little things like these bother me as well…..well….let’s not get into those. But these things could drive me to going mad in public, but a girl like me has got to hold it down.

My kinda ad

The recent TV advert for Tesco price comparison is silly I think; whereas the TV advert for GoCompare is amazing. The man is walking and making some statements but what GoCompare is doing more effective in terms of attracting and stopping viewers. People are more likely to use a site where they are enticed to compare car insurance

Both are trying to grab more market share but with two different strategies at the same prime time. But the power of already established brand is not debatable.

Daytime telly ads

Whilst being off work I have has ample opportunity to watch a lot of daytime telly particularly on the Living channel. Sometimes there’s nothing like a bit of tacky Maury and a bit of ‘who’s your daddy?’
It was whilst watching this (I usually forward thru ads- but didn’t Sky+ Maury) that I noticed a lot of personal injury companies advertising no win no fee services. And banging on about slips and trips at work.
It was then that it dawned on me- maybe I could claim compensation? What for you may ask? Well for being inundated by these numerous companies, there were loads- I kid you not and I could not escape them even when I turned over. Is this what people are watching while I’m at work contributing to the economy? Putting in their Accident Claims and lving it up once they get paid out.

So surely I could claim, for broadcasting negligence or something ludicrous like that?!?

Some names in danger of dying out

According to BBC website, some traditional names such as Edna and Norman are in danger of dying out in England and Wales.

This is indeed a cultural related matter and extremely difficult to get the message across as people feel intruded by researchers and those aim to keep up the beautiful spirit of our cultures. We all now know about issues but when are we going to act upon and find the right solutions?

Is life insurance necessary to have?

Last week I was really struggling to find myself some good deals for life insurance. The whole thing was so confusing, as I am really bad in understanding of the terms. Couple of my friends explained the things to me and I kind of understood the terms better. Then I started searching for good deals on life insurance and filled in couple of forms over the weekend. I checked moneysupermarket and the cheapest I could get was £6.17but this morning someone from onlyinsurance called me and gave me a quote £5.90 a month.
I thought they offered me a good deal and said yes to them to go ahead with my life insurance. Do you think that they really gave me a good deal? their website is

http://www.onlyinsurance.com/Life-Insurance/

I appreciate if you could tell me about your thoughts and whether I made the right choice. When I was checking their website I understood they are not only doing life insurance but all other type of insurance too. Has any body heard about them? the website I was checking is http://www.onlyinsurance.com/Life-Insurance/ I also appreciate if you could suggest me any other websites which you think I can get good deals as I am also looking for a cheap car insurance.
